School Closings:
Just a reminder school will be closed this Friday Nov. 9th for Professional Development and Monday Nov.12th in observance of Veteran’s Day

Progress Reports:
First trimester Progress Reports have been distributed today. They must be signed and returned to school tomorrow. The purpose of the progress report is to enable family and student to understand the student’s achievement at various times throughout the year and know what is required for future progress. Parents this is your opportunity to see if your child is struggling in any particular subject area and ask for help from the teacher so that your child may excel

Chocolate Sale:
All money for the World’s Finest Chocolate sale is due. Please send in your payments if you have not done so as of yet.

Picture Day:
Order form is enclosed. Please note if paying with cash you must give exact amount we cannot provide change.

  • Group picture day is Monday Nov. 19th (All students are to be in Full Uniform)
  • Individual Picture day is Tuesday Nov. 20th. Only if you are ordering pictures your child may come to school in their favorite outfit, on this day.
  • 8th Grade Graduation Picture day is Tuesday Nov. 20th

Dress Down:
Dress Down ($2) day will be this Thursday, Nov. 8th. We apologize as we forgot to include it on the November calendar.

Broadway Café Fundraiser:
The brochure for this fundraiser was sent home today. This is not mandatory fundraiser but we do encourage you to participate. All help in fundraisers are greatly appreciated.

Flea Market:
Our monthly school Flea Market is being sponsored by the 6th grade and will be held on Sunday, November 11th

Storybook Character Day:
On Friday, November 30th students in grades Nursery through 4th grade will celebrate their favorite literary characters. They may come to school dressed as their favorite storybook character. We encourage you to all to make your own costumes. No masks, swords or wands will be allowed.

Remind Messaging:
Remind is our text messaging system that the school uses to communicate with parents. If you have not received a remind text message, please call the office so that we may add your number.

School Trip for Grades 7 & 8 on 11/29/17

On November 29th, 2017 the 7th and 8th Grades will be going to The Radio City Music Hall to see The Christmas Spectacular Starring The Radio City Rockettes.

Half-Day on Friday 11/03/17

On Friday, November 3, 2017 school will let out at 11:30 AM for all students (excluding UPK, they will have regular dismissal hours). 

Did you know that our academy is heavily invested in instructional technology for the use of literacy instruction and assessment? SBCA parents will soon receive their child’s lexile reading level followed by their STAR360 assessment scores in math and reading. Parents will continue to receive these scores four times throughout the year as students are reassessed. What a great way to watch your child progress!

Affordable After School Program Begins

Our supervised after school program was designed with the busy parent in mind. This program operates from 3-6 pm and includes study/homework time, recreation and a snack. Monthly tuition is $125 for one child, $175 for two children and $225 for three children.
